Why it matters

International buyers read your English before they ever meet you.

Your product may be the best in its field, but stiff or machine-translated text makes a company look smaller and less sure of itself than it is. Finnish readers often miss the errors. Native readers spot them at once.

1

Credibility is decided in seconds

Your website, brochure or LinkedIn post is often the first contact with your company. A mistake in the first sentence raises a question: how careful are they with everything else?

2

In proposals and manuals, errors cost money

An ambiguous phrase in a proposal, contract appendix or user manual can lead to misunderstandings, complaints or a lost deal.

3

Machine translation doesn't know your industry

Tools produce text that looks grammatical, but they guess terminology, tone and context. A person checks that the text says what you mean.

What a review looks like

Typical mistakes we see on the English pages of Finnish companies. Every correction comes with a short explanation, so you know why it was made.

Before
Our company was founded 1998 and we are specialized to steel constructions.
After
Our company was founded in 1998 and specialises in steel structures.
Why
A year needs in. The verb is specialise in, not to. The established term is steel structures.
Before
The delivery includes the installation and the commissioning of the equipments.
After
The delivery includes installation and commissioning of the equipment.
Why
Equipment is uncountable and has no plural. The extra the articles make the sentence heavy.
Before
Ask more from our sales! We are happy to help you in all questions.
After
Contact our sales team to learn more. We are happy to help with any questions you may have.
Why
A literal translation of the Finnish phrase sounds odd in English. The preposition is help with, not help in.

Isn't ChatGPT or machine translation good enough?

For short internal texts it often is. When the text goes to customers, AI doesn't know what you meant, your industry's terminology or how your company speaks, and it makes mistakes confidently. We make sure the text is correct, natural and says what you want it to say.

What does the free review include?

We review one web page of your choice (for example your home page) and send a PDF report showing every suggested correction in before-and-after form with a short explanation. There is no obligation.

How much does proofreading or translation cost?

The price depends on length, complexity and schedule. You always get a fixed price in advance, and work doesn't start until you approve it. Recurring work is priced separately at a lower rate.

How quickly will we get the text back?

Short texts (such as a single page or proposal) typically within 24–72 hours. For larger projects, the schedule is agreed in the quote. Rush delivery is available by arrangement.

In what format do we get the corrections?

In Word files, changes are shown with Track Changes so you can accept them one by one. For websites, you get a document with the corrected text page by page, ready to paste into your CMS.

Do you handle confidential material?

Yes. Files are used only for your assignment and never shared. We sign an NDA on request and delete files when asked.

British or American English?

Either. If you haven't chosen yet, we'll recommend one based on where your customers are and make sure it's used consistently throughout.

How does invoicing work?

We invoice when the work is done, with 14 days net payment terms. The seller is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to the invoice.
